Scope and responsibility
This Privacy Policy applies when you visit Sceawere, create an account, use the vulnerability and threat intelligence workspace, purchase a subscription, or contact us.
Sceawere is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. This policy does not cover third-party websites or services that you choose to visit through external links.
Information we handle
- Account information: your email address, account identifier, authentication status, and account preferences.
- Saved workspace data: profile names, vendors, and products that you choose to save to your account.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device details, request timestamps, and security or diagnostic logs generated when the service is used.
- Communications: information you include when you email us about support, billing, privacy, or security.
- Purchase information: if you buy a paid plan, we may receive an order reference, plan, subscription status, billing contact details, and transaction status from the payment service. We do not need your full card number or security code to operate your Sceawere account.
Why we use information
- Provide accounts, authentication, saved profiles, and reports.
- Operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service.
- Respond to support, privacy, billing, and security requests.
- Process subscriptions and maintain transaction records.
- Prevent misuse, investigate incidents, and enforce our terms.
- Meet legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, or consent when consent is the appropriate basis.
How long information is kept
We keep account and saved workspace information while your account is active. We may retain limited records after closure when needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or legal compliance.
Support communications and technical logs are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose they were collected. Retention periods may vary by record type and legal requirement.
Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Email info@sceawere.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it. Some information may be retained where the law permits or requires us to do so.
International processing
Sceawere and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use contractual or other recognised safeguards for international transfers.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures intended to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong password, protect your account credentials, and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access.
Children
Sceawere is a professional security service and is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a subscription.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our practices, services, or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice.
