Sceawere legal

Terms of Service

These terms govern access to Sceawere. They set clear rules for accounts, subscriptions, acceptable use, and reliance on security data.

Last updated July 24, 2026

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Sceawere ("Sceawere", "we", "us", or "our"). They apply to the website, accounts, dashboards, APIs, reports, and related services we make available.

By accessing or using Sceawere, you agree to these terms. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.

Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Account information must be accurate and kept reasonably current.
  • You are responsible for protecting your credentials and for activity carried out through your account.
  • Tell us promptly at info@sceawere.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

The service

Sceawere organises public and licensed vulnerability and threat information, provides filters and analysis tools, and allows users to save vendor and product profiles or create reports. Features and data coverage may change as the service develops.

Sceawere supports security work, but it does not replace professional judgement, asset discovery, patch testing, incident response, or advice from a qualified security professional.

Acceptable use

You must not use Sceawere to:

  • break the law or infringe another person's rights;
  • attack, exploit, scan, or access systems without the owner's permission;
  • bypass authentication, access controls, rate limits, or service restrictions;
  • introduce malware, harmful code, or data intended to disrupt the service;
  • scrape or extract data at a volume that harms the service or exceeds the access included with your plan;
  • resell, sublicense, or redistribute Sceawere access or proprietary outputs without written permission; or
  • misrepresent generated reports as a guarantee that a system is secure or compliant.

Plans, billing, and renewal

Paid plans are billed in advance for the billing period shown at checkout. Unless the checkout says otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically using the same billing interval until cancelled.

Prices, taxes, currency conversion, and available payment methods are shown before purchase. Payment and subscription services may be provided by an authorised payment provider under its own checkout terms.

You may cancel future renewal by emailing info@sceawere.com from your account email. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless a refund is granted or mandatory law requires a different result.

Refund eligibility is described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Ownership and permitted use

Sceawere and its licensors retain rights in the service, interface, software, branding, and original content. Subject to these terms, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your internal security and business purposes during your account or subscription term.

Public-source vulnerability and threat information remains subject to the rights and terms of its original sources. These terms do not give us ownership of information that belongs to you.

Information you provide

You keep ownership of information you submit, such as saved vendor profiles, analyst notes, and support messages. You give us permission to host, process, and display that information only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service.

Do not submit information that you are not authorised to use or that is unnecessarily sensitive for the feature you are using.

Third-party data and links

Security records can be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, revised, or incorrect at the source. External links and third-party content are provided for context. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content, or privacy practices.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Sceawere available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, upstream data failures, security events, network issues, or circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect access.

We may add, remove, or change features. If a material change removes a core paid feature, any remedy will be assessed under applicable law and the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Sceawere is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not warrant that every vulnerability, exploit, indicator, affected product, score, or remediation will be complete, current, or correct.

To the extent permitted by law, Sceawere is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from use of the service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Sceawere for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address a material breach of these terms.

When practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Immediate action may be necessary for security, unlawful conduct, or serious harm. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination will remain in effect.

Disputes and applicable law

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. Mandatory consumer and data-protection laws may apply based on where you live. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service, law, or business operations. The updated date will change, and material changes may be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means the revised terms apply.

Questions about these terms can be sent to info@sceawere.com.
